Dr Kunde is an experienced Consultant Gynaecologist and Minimal Access Gynaecological Surgeon. His expertise encompasses a broad range of gynaecological conditions. He delivers sensitive and individualised care designed to meet the needs of his patients.
MINIMAL ACCESS SURGERY: Dr Kunde has special expertise in Minimal Access Surgery (Laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery) or “keyhole” surgery so that the surgery can be performed without the need for a large cut. This means that patients experience significantly less post-operative pain, shorter convalescence, rapid return to work and better surgical results.
Mr Kunde performs laparoscopic surgery procedures including Laparoscopic myomectomy at London Bridge Hospital. This is an excellent treatment for a single fibroid causing symptoms like pain and heavy periods. Such a fibroid can be removed through small incision often as a one day procedure. The availability of new types of sutures to repair the womb after removal of the fibroid and specially designed surgical instruments which cut the fibroids into small pieces makes it possible to remove fibroids upto 8-10cm in size through a small cut of about 1.5cm thus helping the patient to recover quickly and return to normal activity after a short period of recuperation. Mr Kunde has a fibroid clinic in the Women’s Outpatient Centre at London Bridge Hospital where he offers advice to patients with fibroids.
